Don't bet on it. It's probably only for viewers in Scotland and Northern Ireland (as they say) and then you'll have to be on top of a mountain. In fact, according to the Weather Network snow is more common at Easter than it is on Christmas Day. They've produced a useful current probability map along with an interesting historical map which shows that over the last 50 years Belfast has been the White Christmas Capital out of the four UK regional capitals. 2010 was the last truly white Christmas for the whole of the UK, which coincidentally was also a boom year for wood burning stove sales.
