The Summum 140 RD is a three-sided landscape format gas fire with wide front and back windows and one slim 294mm wide side window, which makes it a perfect architectural statement for the end of an open plan room divider (see our photograph) or mock chimney breast island. The Summum 140 RD's virtual frameless and seamless construction, combined with the elegant proportions and impressive front and back viewable area of 1401mm wide by 450mm high will make a very stylish contribution to even the largest of contemporary living space. Importantly, it will also provide you with an almost 360º view of the magnificent flame picture that Element4's advanced Real Flame Burner technology produces.
The justly renowned Real Flame Burner, which features LED lighting effects, has been designed to deliver an exceptionally realistic full width fire bed and flame picture that's always beautiful to look at, even on a low setting. Its series of naturalistically angled gas burners combined with subtle lighting playing in and around the surfaces of the lifelike ceramic logs creates a wonderful open wood fire feel which is simply hard to beat and is so much more convenient than the real thing. Element4's E-Save remote control comes as standard with the Summum 140 RD and will allow you to create the perfect room ambience with the Real Flame's lighting, various burner options and room temperature settings. You can also choose the ProControl option which will allow you to manage the Summum 140 RD via your tablet or smart phone. In addition, if you have one, you also have the option to link the Summum 140 RD to your home's automation system.
The heat output range is from just 2.2kW up to a pleasurable 17.4kW and it has an A-rated 89% efficiency, all of which make the Summum 140 RD a very practical and efficient heating solution. Being a balanced flue gas fire means that you don't even need a traditional chimney either, just a suitable outside wall. Like all Element4 appliances, the Summum 140 RD gives you complete installation flexibility when it is combined with the optional PowerFan system. This allows you to safely install your fire almost anywhere in the home, even up to 36 metres away from an external wall. The PowerFan has been specially designed to regulate the correct supply of combustion air whilst ensuring there's a sufficient opposite flow of harmful combustion gases without ever diminishing the Summum 140 RD's performance.
There are a number of useful options for the Summum 140 RD. With the surface area of the windows being so great you really want to eliminate any visual distractions and that's why we highly recommend the optional anti-reflection glass. This will minimise any glare and reflections on the fire's windows to the point where the windows almost become invisible and virtually all you get is a great uninterrupted view of the open fire effect. Please specify either natural gas or LPG operation.
