UK changeover announced for 30 September 2026. Big Green Egg is updating the cooking equipment supplied with new Large and XL EGGs. The new Dual Zone Essentials Kit adds a flexible way to arrange direct and indirect heat, with no increase to the cooker RRP.

The basket holds the cooking surfaces at different levels. Use the ceramic deflectors beneath the grids for indirect cooking, or leave a side open to direct heat. The divided surfaces let you arrange the cooker around different parts of a meal.
From the announced UK changeover, the kit replaces the included ConvEGGtor on new Large and XL EGGs. The Large cooker will have two half-moon stainless steel grids in its box, with the basket and ceramic deflectors supplied separately.
The XL will retain a full stainless steel grid in its box and receive the basket, two ceramic deflectors and two half-moon stainless steel grids in a separate package. Check that all packages are included when discussing your order.
The announced upgrade leaves the cooker RRPs unchanged: Large £1,495 and XL £2,050. Stands, tables and other accessories remain separate unless included in a specified package.
The manufacturer has announced a standalone Dual Zone Essentials Kit for existing Large and XL owners. Ask us about the correct size, availability and UK price. We will confirm those details before quoting an upgrade.
A ConvEGGtor does not fit the new Dual Zone Basket. An existing ConvEGGtor and the new basket should not be treated as an interchangeable combination. The two-piece multi-level rack and several existing EGGspander surfaces can be used with the new system, but compatibility should be checked for each item and EGG size.
No. MiniMax continues with a ConvEGGtor and full stainless steel grid. The Dual Zone System is not available for MiniMax.
