Why we love Gozney
We like outdoor cooking that gets people gathered around the food. With a pizza oven, the preparation becomes part of the evening: stretch the next base, add the toppings and take turns watching it cook.
There is a sensible choice of sizes
Our first question would be how you expect to use the oven. A small patio and pizzas for two call for a different setup from a garden kitchen feeding a crowd. Gozney gives us a useful range to discuss, from the 12-inch Arc Lite to the much larger Dome XL Gen 2.
It is worth being honest about how often you will move it. Tread weighs 13.5kg before you add its gas bottle or optional equipment. Dome Gen 2 weighs 62kg and Dome XL Gen 2 weighs 73kg, so those need a planned position and careful handling.
Gas makes a quick pizza night appealing
Turning a control to adjust the flame is a straightforward way to learn. The gas-only Arc family uses a lateral burner, leaving the cooking floor open for the pizza and giving you a visible flame to work with. Arc and Arc XL also have a digital stone-temperature display.
If tending a fire is part of the appeal, the Dome Gen 2 range supports wood and charcoal as well as propane. We like having that choice within the range, so the fuel can follow the way you enjoy cooking.
A larger oven earns its space beyond pizza
The Dome Gen 2 ovens have room for suitable pans and roasting dishes. That makes them interesting for the cook who wants to use the oven through a meal, rather than put it away once the pizzas are finished. Check the dish dimensions and follow the oven manual when choosing cookware.
The details are worth getting right
Our enthusiasm comes with some practical questions. Where will the oven stand? Is there enough clearance? Which tools are included? Does that cover or stand fit this generation? Sorting these out at the start helps you choose a setup you will want to use.
For eligible home-use purchases, Gozney offers an extended limited warranty when the oven is registered within 60 days. Component limits and other conditions apply, so read the current warranty terms alongside the model's manual.
