WIKING Miro 5

WIKING MIRO 5 WITH SIDE GLASS AND HEAT STORAGE

This Miro 5 with side glass comes with concealed slow release heat storage soapstone in a top compartment as an alternative to the warming shelf. In addition the log store is not open fronted on this model but has a neat steel door to add to the overall clean lines of this stunning stove. The big window and matching height side glass provide you with a wonderful 180º view of the fire chamber. Elegant proportions and superb build quality combine with state-of-the-art combustion technology and all-round value for money to make the Wiking Miro 5 with side glass and heat storage a brilliant choice for any modern home.

The Wiking Miro 5 is Defra approved to allow you to burn wood in smoke control areas and delivers a nominal heat output of 4.9kW. It has a heat range between 3kW to 8kW (depending fuel load) which will allow you to extend the number of days you can practically use your stove from cool spring and autumn evenings right through to the harshest winter days. There's also around 34kg of soapstone in the Miro 5's top compartment which has the special ability to store heat from the fire chamber below and which is then slowly emitted to the room completely taking over from the stove as its fire dies down. Flame height and heat output is managed with one simple slider control.

The user friendly operation is further enhanced by the Wiking Automatic system which comes as standard. This self-acting, tried and tested, purely mechanical device supplies the precise amount of primary booster air when it's needed to ensure quicker starts and minimal emissions during refuelling as well as at the end of the burn cycle. The Miro 5's fire chamber has been specially created to eliminate cold corners and maximise efficiency. It features meticulously engineered, densely compressed and accurately moulded vermiculite panels also improve heat retention and promote cleaner burning.

The Wiking Miro 5 has also passed the rigorous German DIBt tests designed to ensure that the stove will always provide a safe room seal even under the potential adverse pressures which could possibly inhibit the safe performance of the flue and which you might get in passive houses or homes with MVHR systems. To this end the Miro 5 also features direct external air supply capability to essentially make the installation a completely sealed system (apart from when lighting and refuelling). Unlike some stoves the Miro 5's perfectly balanced cast iron door locks closed with the minimum of effort (thanks to Wiking's patented closure mechanism). One thing you can be sure of is that everything about the Miro 5 has been designed by Wiking to perform superbly.
