Not content with our sponsorship money, they now want blood too. Last night Director Richard Poulter, thought he'd wander down to the Club and have a nice relaxing evening watching the boys practice – but they had other ideas.
At The Stove Yard, you’d expect us to love our wood, but it has to be said that we love our living trees and woodlands even more, for apart from being great at absorbing harmful greenhouse gas where else would we eventually get the wood we fire up our stoves with? We were therefore keen to read the Woodland Trust's first ever report of its kind on the state of our woods and trees which has just been published. It’s depressing.
The Stove Industry Alliance (SIA), the trade organisation which represents most of the stove brands and related products and services in the UK and Ireland, and which The Stove Yard are proud to be founding members, has just published an informative guide to wood burning and multi fuel stoves for local authorities which you can download here.
Last week was the European stove industry's big 5-day stove-fest in Frankfurt (ISH) and naturally the Stove Yard was there. As you'd expect it was an extremely busy affair and there were a number of major British and Irish players represented – but only as visitors.
