WIKING Miro 1 Pedestal

Wiking Miro 1 Pedestal with Side Glass

The WIKING Miro 1 Pedestal is a stunning contemporary styled 4.9kW pedestal stove with full height side windows and being both DIBt tested and Defra smoke exempted it is a rare thing of beauty. In fact we can't think of any other pedestal stove (apart from sister stove the Miro 2 without side glass) which features both of these critical approvals which are essential if you're installing your stove in a low energy or passive-type house located in a smoke control area (most urban areas). The stylish, yet robust pedestal has been designed to dovetail perfectly with the WIKING Miro 1 Pedestal's aesthetic and with it weighing in at around 14kg on its own it will also provide a strong and secure base for the firebox.

The WIKING Miro 1 Pedestal has a small gently curved footprint designed to make this stove work particularly well in both free standing and corner positions. It features three big airwashed windows with the side windows slightly angled inwards so that you get a marvellous 180º plus view of the fire. The flame height and wide 3.0kW to 8.0kW heat output range are precisely controlled with the single discreet slider control just below the door. The door itself is perfectly balanced and incorporates Wiking's unique effortless closing mechanism which ensures a safe 100% room seal every time. The fire chamber incorporates highly compressed vermiculite panels for improved insulation and there's a longer lasting cast iron grate with an ash pan for easier cleaning.

The WIKING Miro 1 Pedestal's emissions are significantly lower than those required to pass the strict new Ecodesign regulations and these clean burning credentials are aided by the Wiking Automatic which comes as standard. This automatically boosts the supply of primary combustion air when lighting and refuelling and at the end of the burn cycle which is when stoves tend to produce additional smoke. The extra supply of combustion air keeps the fire chamber hotter so that more particulates are burned off. Pre-heated tertiary air (the little jets on the fire chamber back wall) again supply extra air to promote further combustion and greater efficiency.

If you're looking for a stylish pedestal stove that will deliver great views of the fire then the WIKING Miro 1 Pedestal has to be a worthy of your consideration, especially given its competitive price.
