HWAM 2630C

Hwam 2630 / 2640 4.5kW Wood Burning Stove

At 1 metre high, the 2630 and 2640 are the tallest of the stoves in the Hwam 2600-Series with the extra height being made up with a practical door-fronted storage cabinet underneath the fire chamber. The main difference between the 2630 and 2640 is that the 2630 features side windows and the 2640 doesn't, but even so the 2640's wide window will still give you a great view of the fire so that it will look equally impressive either in a tall fireplace opening or free-standing installation.

With a compact 430mm diameter footprint that's almost fully circular, apart from a narrow 307mm flat side at the rear, both the 2630 and 2640 make a great choice for corner installations. Both models are available with the standard classic cast iron door (C) or optional modern flush glass-fronted door (M). They feature Hwam's unique balanced closing system for a perfect seal every time. In fact, both have passed the rigorous German DIBt 100% room-seal test so that they can be safely installed within a low energy house or a home with MVHR when direct external air supply (DEAS) is also specified. DEAS can either enter the from the rear or from underneath the stove.

Hwam's Autopilot combustion air control / monitoring is standard on all models with the option to upgrade to the patented state-of-the-art Hwam SmartControl which can save you up to 50% on fuel usage as well as make a significant reduction to the amount of emissions created. To find out more about SmartControl please click here. Efficiency is up to 80.3% (81.3% with SmartControl) and is rated at A+ with a practical heat output range between 2kW up to 6kW and a nominal output of 4.5kW.

As you'd expect with a Danish product the build quality is going to be as good as it gets, as is the attention to the design detail. For example, instead of a cost-saving flat steel lid like most contemporary convector stoves, Hwam have crowned the 2600-Series with a heavy-duty deep cast iron top, which is not only much better looking, but is also an excellent heat store to provide some additional slow release heat after the fire has gone out. All model variants are available with standard black or optional grey painted finish, with the 2630M glass-fronted side window model also available in a white high gloss finish. All Hwam models are guaranteed for five years (terms and conditions apply).
