The 7.0kW Dovre Rock 350 wood stove is yet another wonderfully distinctive contemporary design from the Belgian stove makers and like all of their other stoves this also features precision moulded premium all cast-iron construction – 110kg of it. This sturdy design creates a highly effective heat sink which will gently release its warmth into the room when the stove has gone out and is a great way to help maintain the room's ambient temperature long into the early hours of a cold winter's morning.

One of the most striking features of the Rock 350 is its chunky all-over door which minimises the visual disruption to the stove front by concealing the hinges and the door and bodywork seams at the sides and top. This minimalist seamless look is further enhanced by the stylish polished stainless pebble shaped door handle being positioned, not on the front, but on the right hand side wall. This can be simply removed and kept cool for later use. There's a good-sized airwashed window to provide an excellent view of the flames.

The Rock 350 has a very practical heat output range starting at just 2.3kW and going up to 9.0kW depending on the fuel load. A+ rated 80% efficiency ensures that that this is also a stove that, despite its high heat output, is still going to be economical to run. There's one user-friendly polished steel slider control just below the door for precise management of the primary boost and secondary airwash blend for speedy lighting and amazing flame patterns. Dovre's advanced combustion technology with pre-heated tertiary air, delivers an extra level of combustion to keep smoke and emissions to a minimum. The fire chamber, which can handle 350mm logs with ease, is lined with premium quality Chamotte refractory firebricks further adding to the the Rock's efficiency.

There are two versions of the Rock 350 you can choose from. One with what Dovre calls a tablet base (solid side legs and open front) and the other with fully matching integrated log store which will hold around seven or eight logs – probably a typical evening's worth. This option uses a further 15kg of cast iron and features a curved framed base to mirror the corners of the stove top.
