What you will notice
A 47.8-litre oven
The oven is 320mm wide, 340mm high and 440mm deep inside. Check your favourite roasting dishes and baking trays against those measurements.
Space for up to six pans
The hotplate has a graduated 130–360°C temperature range. Move pans to hotter or cooler areas to boil, fry or simmer; the pans share one surface, rather than separate controlled rings.
Warmth while you cook
The fire sends 7.3kW of heat into the room as well as heating the oven and hotplate. Think about when you will use it and how much warmth the room needs.
Inside the ESSE Ironheart
The Ironheart is 900mm wide, 900mm high and 600mm deep and weighs 280kg. We will help you plan its position and delivery access early. Its glass firebox door keeps the fire in view, with the oven alongside and the dog-bone-shaped hotplate above.
Compare with other ESSE stoves
Choose the Ironheart if you want a generous oven and hotplate with a large fire view. The 700mm-wide Lightheart offers an oven and hotplate in a narrower body. Planning your installation
Cooking over wood takes a little practice: the fuel, air control and pan position all affect the heat. We can help you get familiar with it. At 900mm wide, 600mm deep and 280kg, the Ironheart also needs a planned delivery route and position. Your installer will follow its instructions for the hearth, ventilation, flue, clearances and permitted fuel.
