What you will notice
A 32-litre baking oven
The oven is 350mm wide, 200mm high and 450mm deep inside. Check the height of your roasting dishes as well as the size of your baking trays.
Hotter and cooler areas on the hob
The hob has a graduated 190–300°C range, hotter in the centre and cooler towards the edge. Move the pan to suit the job and adjust the fire as you cook.
Cooking and room warmth
The Bakeheart gives 5kW of heat to the room as well as heating the oven and hob. We can help you check that the output suits the space.
Inside the ESSE Bakeheart
At 900mm high and 600mm deep, the Bakeheart is taller than either Warmheart version. It has 5kW heat output, 77.3% net efficiency and an A rating. The glass door keeps the flames in view while the fire heats the hob, oven and room.
Compare with other ESSE stoves
The Warmheart has a hob but no separate baking oven. Both are 500mm wide and 600mm deep, but the Bakeheart is 900mm high and the Warmheart is 691mm high. The 900mm-wide Ironheart offers a larger oven and a different cooking layout if you have more space.
Planning your installation
The Bakeheart weighs 192kg, so we will plan delivery access and its position with you. Cooking temperatures depend on the wood fire and pan position. Use dry, seasoned logs up to 400mm long, and follow the Bakeheart sections of the shared manual for operation, hearth, flue and clearances.
