Saltfire Peanut 3 Compact Wood Burning Stove 4.7kW

Peanut Contemporary designed and keenly priced all-cast iron wood burner featuring a bigger than average window…

Although the Peanut 3 is physically the smallest stove in Saltfire's Peanut collection it still packs a considerable punch with its nominal 4.7kW heat output and outstanding 82.7% A+ efficiency. It's also 2022 Ecodesign ready and Defra Approved so that you can legally burn wood in a UK urban area. Under the new independently verified clearSkies emissions scheme just launched the Peanut 3 has attained Level 5 – the highest level achievable and a clear illustration of just how environmentally friendly this cracking little stove is. Whatever way you look at it the Peanut 3 offers you excellent all-round value for money.

The top or rear fitted flue outlet, with its diameter of just 100mm (4"), also makes the Peanut 3 a great choice for non-domestic off-grid installations such as shepherd's huts, log cabins and yurts with their typically shorter flue heights. This will not only improve the udraught but also help save money on costly flue components. To comply with building regulations for domestic installations, being Defra Approved, the 4" connecting flue pipe needs to be stepped up to any connecting 125mm (5") twin wall or flue liner. The simple design lines, where the focus is definitely on the big window, allows the Peanut 3 to look equally good in either modern or traditional fireplaces.

The premium quality longer lasting all-cast iron construction, which includes the firebricks, ensures that the Peanut 3 will build up considerable heat in its bodywork for later slow release and this combined with the wide 2.0 kW to 5.0kW heat output range makes it a practical heating solution for most of the year. The Fast Flame system which focuses primary air in a small area under the logs makes lighting your Peanut 3 ever so quick and easy so that you will also begin to benefit from that heat much earlier. The Peanut 3 has three separate air controls, including unusually, a push-pull control for the tertiary air supply giving you maximum control of flame height and burn rate.

Provided there's a minimum distance of 50mm at the sides then Saltfire claim that the Peanut 3 can be safely installed within a 16" (400mm) wide standard builder's fireplace opening usually with the minimum of building work required. It can also be installed on a 12mm thick non-combustible decorative hearth (subject to Building Regulations). Options include a stainless steel top cooking / hot plate and safety rail and for boats a steel Marine Hearth. Don't forget to also check out the Peanut 3 Tall with its handy store stand.
