The Brogan Log Store is Hi-Flame’s newest Ecodesign stove and is based upon its best selling 905 series wood burning engine for guaranteed excellent performance and supreme reliability and, as you’d expect from a modern stove, the Brogan features an especially large glass area to view the flame patterns. This is beautifully set within a timeless fine cast iron door. The Brogan comes in three variations with standard short leg and high leg options as well as a striking 720mm high seamless store stand version for added presence.

The Hi-Flame Brogan has an A-rated efficiency of 76.2% and delivers a nominal, and very controllable 5kW heat output, whilst producing minimal harmful emissions. With a Hi-Flame stove there’s no compromising on the quality of materials they use either. For example the standard leg version weighs in at around 91kg (that’s about 15.5 stone) which is significantly heavier than most comparable 5kW stoves. The Brogan also features a highly efficient airwash system and this, combined with its heavy duty cast iron rear fire chamber back brick which houses the tertiary air jets, helps retain heat to keep the fire chamber much hotter and the glass much cleaner, even at the end of the burn cycle. There’s a single drop-down baffle that not only makes cleaning the Brogan’s flueway really simple but will also allow the flue system to be easily swept through the stove. This offers another distinct advantage over a typical Ecodesign 2-baffle system by minimising smoke spillage when refuelling, especially when a chimney or flue is not performing at its best. This makes the Brogan a highly dependable ‘plug and play’ heating solution for most homes.  

There are two separate primary boost and secondary combustion air controls for quicker starting fires and to precisely manage the Brogan’s heat output and fuel economy. An integral direct external air supply manifold is incorporated as standard to enable installation in post-2008 homes without the need to fit a draughty open vent’ to the outside air in your living space. You can also install the Brogan on an appropriate non-combustible 12mm thick decorative hearth.
