The Stove Yard is pleased to welcome Pete Gough, our new Group webmaster. Pete brings with him a wealth of web and e-commerce experience from his previous position at Yankee Candle and will be based at our new Nerd Centre in County Down.
With the longer, warmer days finally on their way, at last it's time to dust down that rusty old barbie and head for the great outdoors to enjoy food as nature intended – al fresco, relaxed and informal. The Stove Yard are hosting the Big Green Egg BBQ competition at the 2016 Sea Bangor Festival, where 8 competitors will bake, grill or roast their way to be crowned Bangor's Big Green Egg BBQ Champion
Following the huge success of The Stove Yard's Big Green Egg BBQ competition at the recent Sea Bangor Festival, we will be bringing our Big Green Eggs to the Dalriada Festival in Glenarm on Saturday and Sunday 16th and 17th of July for another competition which will again be open to barbecuers everywhere.
According to The Sun today we're heading for especially sunny weather during this coming extra long Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend and that's when the barbecue season will well and truly kick off. The Northern Ireland Assembly's Climate Bill and the stove industry's response
In February 2020 the Northern Ireland Assembly declared a climate emergency. The Climate Bill aims to ensure that Northern Ireland meets legally binding net-zero carbon emissions targets by 2045. Northern Ireland is the only part of the UK without such targets. In March of this year the Republic of Ireland approved a similar bill with a net-zero target by 2050. All of this is to limit the consequences of climate change.
At the end of March and in the midst of shutdown we were delighted to see our vacant showroom in Kiltonga have a spark of life back in it. Our Friends from Hellbent tackled the opportunity to use our showroom kitchen to film and photograph some of their wonderful new products.
