STOVAX RIVA2 50 WOOD BURNING INSET STOVE

Stovax offer you a choice of three Defra approved 5.0kW inset stoves in their striking new Riva2 collection with the Stovax Riva2 50 Wood Burning Inset Stove sitting in the middle. It's the same height as the Riva2 40, so will fit within a standard 550mm (22") high fireplace opening. However, the opening will need some modification to take the Stovax Riva2 50's widescreen format since it is some 140mm (5.5" approx) wider, but for that you get a much greater flame picture. Like all of the stoves in the Riva2 range lowering emissions has been critical to the design of their combustion chambers so that they are easily amongst the cleanest burning convector insets available today. For example, the Stovax Riva2 50 produces around 50% less particulate matter (PM2.5) than that required to meet the demanding new Ecodesign emissions regulations.

One distinct advantage that the Stovax Riva2 50 offers you that you won't get on most convector inset stoves is the option to add warm air ducting to allow you to spread the heat to other rooms. This system usually works best when the chimney breast is purpose-built to accommodate the extra ducting requirements. The Stovax Riva2 50 also comes with integrated direct external air supply (DEAS) capability as standard, which can be supplied ether through the base or at the rear for greater installation flexibility. This and the warm air ducting make the Riva2 50 an excellent choice for post-2008 and low energy homes.

There's nothing fussy about the Stovax Riva2 50's clean contemporary lines where any potential visual distractions, such as the controls, handle and hinges, are kept to an absolute minimum, thus providing you with an uninterrupted view of the impressive flames. Since it's all about the fire this helps it work equally well in contemporary or traditional spaces. You also get a choice of two frame widths; 54mm for the Profil and, for a more minimalist look, the 30mm Profil XS. These also come in a choice of 3-sided for fireplaces and 4-sided for hole-in-the-wall installations. The Stovax Riva2 50's big window is kept clean with Stovax's superior Dualflow convergent air wash system which not only delivers preheated air from the top of the glass but also from the bottom for a more effective wash. The Stovax Riva2 50 has two smooth slider controls. The ReIgnite booster, which is cleverly concealed behind the ash pan compartment door, will provide all of the extra air needed for speedy ignition, either when first lighting the stove or when reloading fresh logs. This and the discreet secondary air control will allow you to precisely manage the 4.3kW to 6.kW heat output range (depending on fuel load) as well as maximise fuel economy.
