Carrickfergus Cricket Club, who are sponsored by The Stove Yard, have just been voted Tildenet Club of the Year in the 2014 Cricket Ireland Awards. Not surprising really, when you think that the first team won four titles – Section 1 League Champions, RSA National Cup, O'Neill's Ulster Shield and the T20 Trophy, and there were other league wins for the 2nd and 4th teams, as well as the Under 15s team. An impressive seven titles in all! So the very warmest congratulations from The Stove Yard's team to all of the Carrickfergus teams and well done to everyone else at the Club for all your hard work and dedication throughout the 2014 cricket season. The award will be presented at the 2014 Cricket Ireland Awards lunch on Friday November 14th.

It really pays to think about this as soon as possible, even if you're not quite ready to fit one right away. When a wood burning stove is planned in from the very start, in many cases, it could help you to reduce its installation costs. It will also simplify dealings with Building Control and it will improve your SAP calculation. Better still, If the stove is for a new-build you can even claim the 20% VAT back. Read more...

In the meantime wholesale, oil and gas prices are still rocketing (check out the graph below of the last 7 weeks)... read more.
