CHARNWOOD BAY 5VL WOOD BURNING INSET STOVE
The Charnwood Bay 5VL is a contemporary inset convector stove featuring a large landscape window and sleek vitreous enamelled frame. The Bay 5VL meets Defra’s requirements for burning wood in a smoke control area and has also been accredited with the highest Level 5 in the ClearSkies emissions scheme that recognises stoves that achieve emissions levels significantly lower than those required by the Ecodesign regulations. The stove boasts a nominal heat output of 5kW with a variable heat range of between 2 and 7kW and has an excellent A+ rated efficiency of 81%.
Controlling the Bay 5VL couldn’t be easier with just one discreet push-pull control with boost to manage the correct mix of combustion air and ensure that the large glass area is air washed across its full width to maintain a superb view of the flame patterns at all times. There’s also a discreet lift-up door handle to preserve the Bay’s clean lines. The vermiculite lined fire chamber with cast iron log retainer will easily take logs of up to 463mm (approx 18”) long. The Bay 5VL has a 150mm top flue outlet and has the advantage of a simple drop down baffle which will allow the chimney to be swept through the stove thus avoiding the need to remove the stove to access the liner for cleaning.
The all-British Bay 5VL features direct external air supply compatibility with a 100mm inlet in the base which will make it a great choice for a post-2008 or low energy home. It incorporates the highest construction standards and the very best materials and can be finished in a choice of eight tasteful designer colours to complement your interior colour scheme The Bay 5VL comes with Charnwood’s 10 year warranty. There’s also a free-standing version of the Charnwood Bay 5VL, called the Bay 5BX, which can be installed directly onto a suitable hearth without being built-in or placed upon a matching centre stand pedestal or one of two specially designed matching steel store stand benches.
