A recent survey by the Forestry Commission says that 96% of people believe that when they see the riot of colours in our autumn woodlands it makes them feel better. They have also produced an informative colour chart which explains how all of these different colours come about as well as a free children's autumn activity pack. So why not take a wonderful woodland walk this weekend and colour yourself happy, then as the day gets colder, head home to the welcoming heat from a wood burning stove and simply sit and ponder upon the wonders of nature. For autumn walk ideas and further information about how to colour yourself happy this autumn visit www.forestry.gov.uk/autumn or also try our friends at the Woodland Trust.
