14.07.15 100% wind power no fantasy

Last week those plucky Danes produced so much wind powered energy, three-quarters of it from onshore wind farms, that they were able to share the surplus with their neighbours the Germans, the Swedes and the Norwegians. 140% of Denmark's energy requirement was met by their wind turbines on a particularly windy Friday proving that with the right mix of renewables we could all easily do away with dangerous CO2 producing fossil fuels. This is total energy independence in action and comes when the UK has committed itself to using more Russian gas and also withdrawn support for onshore wind farms. Meanwhile the Danes are building even more wind farms...
