08.08.18 British Gas ups energy prices by 3.8%

3.5 million customers will now pay an average of £44 per year in a second price increase from the biggest of the Big Six providers, British Gas. They blame it on the sharp increase in wholesale prices that they have to pay but also say that their average bill is still less than the average bills of the other Big Six competitors. So that's alright then. The first of the increases earlier this year lost the company over a third of a million customers.
