There's now overwhelming support for onshore wind farms according to a new Good Energy poll. This comes at the same time as a Government poll finds a further fall in public support for shale gas. 28% said they actively oppose fracking with a lowly 3% saying they strongly supported it. These findings are at complete odds with the newly-elected Government's anti-wind farm / pro-fracking stance. The same Good Energy poll also found that only 4% of the 2,000 people questioned were against solar farms. During July Denmark was able to sell its excess wind energy to neighbouring countries whilst in Scotland 7 out of 10 homes were powered by its wind farms.
