There's just one simple concealed slider control designed to provide the ideal blend of primary and secondary combustion air wherever you are in the Dorrington's burn cycle. Along with AGA's powerful pre-heated secondary airwash system, plus the Defra Smoke Exempt clean burning set-up, ths means that it is also very easy to keep the front and side glass clear when burning fully seasoned wood logs. There's an integrated cool touch lever-pull handle to open the virtually full width door to provide excellent access to the generous fire chamber and make loading larger than average logs (up to 330mm / 13") ever-so easy.
The Dorrington's nominal 6kW heat output will always require a dedicated air vent in order to comply with Building Regulations air supply requirements. The good news is that the Dorrington has a discreet external air inlet (120mm diameter) at the base of the fire chamber inside the storage compartment with its separate hinged door. This will allow you to directly and safely feed the fire chamber with all the combustion air the stove needs whilst at the same time minimise unwelcome draughts associated with air vents (subject to the appropriate spillage tests). With its 180º view of the fire this stove makes a wonderful free-standing choice and its circular footprint (with small straight rear edge) means that it will also work equally well in a corner installation. As you'd expect from a top of the line stove is also suitable for locating on a 12mm decorative hearth. so, tall, dark and handsome – whatever way you look at the AGA Dorrington is an exceptionally good-looking cylindrical designer stove with a host of real benefits to match.
