Esse 155 Slimline Wood Burning Stove

Esse now offer you a great choice of popular 5kW output stoves and their new contemporary designed Defra approved 155 model, at only 250mm deep, is one of the slimmest that we know of. This makes it great choice for shallow fireplace openings and for keeping the hearth depth to a minimum when the rear fitting flue option* is used. Like all new Esse stoves the 155 also features a sliding catalytic convertor to cut emissions levels to significantly below the strict Ecodesign limits and to increase efficiency, in this case to a very impressive 83.7% so that you can benefit from both cleaner burning and greater fuel economy.

The 155's clean burning credentials, it could be argued, are also reflected in its clean minimalist design lines. There's nothing fussy looking about this stove which means you can be sure that it will work equally well within traditional or modern interiors and in any style of fireplace. Control couldn't be easier too, with just one slider control above the door to manage the combustion air for Esse's three-stage combustion process. For quicker fire lighting the catalytic filter can easily be bypassed with the external push-pull control and then when the fire chamber is at full operating temperature it can be returned to super heat and burn off virtually all of any remaining articulate matter. The hard wearing filter is very easy to remove and keep clean for optimal performance.
