CHARNWOOD C-FIVE BLU WOOD BURNING STOVE

CHARNWOOD C-FIVE BLU WOOD BURNING STOVE

The Defra approved Charnwood C-Five Blu wood burner’s blend of timeless styling, superb efficiency and user-friendly operation has ensured that it has remained one of Charnwood’s best selling stoves ever since it was first launched some ten years ago. In order to meet the strict 2022 Ecodesign emissions regulations the C-Five has recently undergone significant improvements to its combustion technology and it now performs well below the tough Ecodesign emission limits and has consequently achieved the highest Level 5 rating in the independently verified ClearSkies emissions and efficiency scheme – your guide to the most environmentally friendly stoves. The Charnwood C-Five has an excellent A+ rated efficiency of 82% so it’s also going to be a very economical stove to run.

The Charnwood C-Five is the same height with the same 5kW heat output as the C-Four but at 104mm wider (approx 4”) it has a much greater visual presence and gives you an improved widescreen view of the flames which makes it the better choice for larger fireplace openings. It will also safely take much bigger logs at 350mm (14”) long. With the C-Five you also get a choice of three different bases from the standard low leg, the higher leg and the handy store stand. The C-Five has direct external air supply capability with the optional kit. This is especially important for a stove when it is installed in a post-2008 home as it means you can avoid the Building Regs’ dedicated air vent. The C-Five can also be installed on a 12mm non-combustible decorative hearth.  It also comes in eight designer colours.

The C-Five features Charnwood’s user-friendly single push-pull combustion air control for easy operation and quicker starting fires as well as maintaining clear glass right through to the end of the fire. As you’d expect from the country’s leading stove manufacturer the all-British C-Five is extremely well made – from the premium quality cast iron door and heavy gauge steel bodywork to the robust stay-cool door handle and all of the practical optional extras. For example, like the handy cast iron stove top Cooking Plate that you can use to rustle up some hot tasty meals while you’re also warming your home. Also highly recommended is the optional drop-in ash pan with cast iron reciprocating grate which can be riddled externally whenever the wood ash bed needs to be reduced or emptied. If your fireplace has the space then the C-Five is definitely the stove to fit.

If you're looking for a multi fuel stove then Charnwood have introduced the C-Five Duo. It also has a 5kW heat output but with an improved A+ rated 84.2% efficiency for wood and an A+ rated 80% for smokeless coal.
