Max Blank Nimes Combi Stove with Steel, Stone or Crystal Glass finishes

The Ecodesign compliant Nimes wood burner, with optional pellet burning, offers you a great choice of finishes, including Max Blank's unique space-age Crystal clear etched matt white or shiny black glass panels which are quite unlike anything that we've ever seen on a stove before. It's the ultimate in contemporary looks but like every other Max Blank stove, underneath it's still a supremely practical and very user friendly clean burning stove. Other finishes include the entry level two-tone black and anthracite coloured Steel model and Stone models with a choice of 30mm thick stone finishes, including a unique chiselled grey textured stone.

All Nimes models are available with Max Blank's optional stainless steel pellet burning kit which has been specifically designed for highly effective clean burning of pellets as well as to deliver a spectacular full height flame pattern within minutes and without the need to use electricity. The pellet burning option provides virtually as much heat output as burning wood logs (around 5.0kW) which is enough to quickly warm a small to medium sized living space. It also means that you can easily switch from the long periods of burning logs needed on cold winter days and nights to pellet burning for a short burst of heat on a cool late Spring and early Autumn evening or perhaps to simply provide a striking warm welcoming focal point when guests arrive. One charge of pellets will last a couple of hours and it only takes about 5 minutes to swap over. The pellet burning kit can be sold separately and retrofitted later and, in The Stove Yard's opinion, is an option definitely worth thinking about. You can take a look at the Max Blank video here and see for yourself just how effective having an alternative fuel choice – that isn't coal, can be.

The Nimes has a fully circular footprint with an overall diameter of 515mm and has a generously tall fire chamber which will easily accommodate logs up to 300mm (12") long. This is fully lined with superior interlocking 30mm thick chamotte ceramic firebricks, and, along with its preheated tertiary air, this adds to the excellent efficiency of the Nimes whether it's burning wood logs or pellets. The Nimes has a single slider to precisely control the correct balance of primary and secondary combustion air to moderate its generous 5.0kW heat output.

The Nimes has a large curved glass door with a big air washed window to provide a great view of the excellent flame patterns. This also has a patented self locking mechanism and a striking feature door-length cool touch handle which will make for easier and safer operation. The door is 100% room sealed and DIBt tested to ensure a safe installation in modern low energy and passive houses or where mechanical extraction is present. There's a 100mm diameter direct air inlet which can be positioned for entry at the base or at the rear (please specify when ordering). The Nimes has a 150mm top flue outlet (no rear outlet) and has the distinct advantage of a very low 100mm distance to combustible materials at both the side and rear making it an excellent space-saving choice for corner installations (subject to flue pipe distances). Alternatively, the optional turntable kit allows the Nimes to take full advantage of its fully circular footprint so that it can be positioned in the middle of a suitable living space and rotated accordingly depending on how the room is being used at the time. The Nimes can also be converted to a heat storage stove with the addition of the optional 28kg heat accumulation stones (not suitable with the turntable option).
