Max Blank Dijon L

Max Blank Dijon L Combi Heat Storage Stove

The 8.5kW Dijon L Combi is the heat storage version of the basic Dijon S stove and, at approximately 6' high, is 13" taller and weighs in with a further 49kg (most of it heat storage stones) to bring the total weight to a seriously heavy 180kg. Max Blank say that once the Dijon L has been burning at normal operating temperatures for a couple of hours then the heat storage element will be able to provide you with slow release heat lasting up to 6 hours after the fire has gone out. During cold nights, this makes it great for keeping the ambient temperature of your home a little higher while you sleep.

The wonderful thing about Max Blank Combi wood burners, like the Dijon, is that within five minutes you can quickly and very easily convert them into pellet burners and without the need to use any electricity. The Dijon's optional stainless steel pellet burning kit and ball provide you with a speedy and striking flame pattern – plus up to 7.0kW of heat. This also makes the Dijon L a great choice for short blasts of visually attractive and cost effective warmth where time is of the essence, for example for just a couple of hours in the late evening. To see how good this system is check out the official Max Blank video here.

Unusually the cylindrical Dijon L has a complete circular footprint, and doesn't feature the typical flat back that most cylindrical stoves have, which would make it perfect for in-the-round or within corner locations in medium to large sized living spaces . The space-saving bodywork diameter is a modest 350mm (14") which will still allow the easy loading of standard 250mm (10") logs within the tall fire chamber. This is fully lined with 30mm thick chamotte ceramic fire bricks for improved insulation and delivering higher efficiency as well as much cleaner burning. The Dijon's ultra-low emissions ensures that it easily meets the tough 2022 Ecodesign standards.

The Dijon L is 150mm diameter top flue outlet only and has as standard a 100mm diameter base or rear direct external air inlet (please specify which one you want when ordering) and a self-closing door with a large air-washed curved glass window and cool touch handle. Total combustion air control is provided by a precise single slider which delivers both the primary and secondary air. Tertiary air adds to the Dijon's ErP A+ rated higher efficiencies of 81% for seasoned logs and 84% for pellets.

The overall impression of the Dijon L is of a stylishly slim and slender minimalist stove. So if you're looking for a striking contemporary focal point that's also eminently practical then the Max Blank Dijon L definitely cuts the mustard (sorry, couldn't resist!). The exceptional 'made in Germany' build quality and the ten year warranty should also ensure that this stove is high on your wish list.
