Charnwood ARC 5 Multi Fuel / Wood Burning Stove

The Arc 5 - a revolutionary new multi-fuel stove.

At long last a British-made convector stove worthy of the name – plus, unusually for a convector, the new Arc is also a proper highly efficient multi fuel stove as well with its externally adjustable converting grate. It's also great looking and has all the subtle detailing, gentle curves and user-frendly operation that we've come to expect from Charnwood, the UK's leading stove-maker. Inside the Defra approved Arc there's an innovative new combustion system designed to ensure an exceptionally clean burn as well as minimise smoke emissions, whether you're burning wood logs or smokeless fuels. In fact it's environmental credential are so good that they exceed the EU's forthcoming Eco Design standards.

As with all convector stoves the minimum distances to combustible materials from the side of the stove are greatly reduced making them a great free-standing choice especially if you don't have a traditional fireplace. In the case of the Charnwood Arc the minimum distances at the rear to combustibles is better than most convector stoves at just 80mm (when using twin wall flue pipe) and in addition the Arc is also suitable for use with a 12mm hearth. As with all of these things this is subject to building regulations.

There's just one simple control for the Arc, whatever fuel you choose, which has been designed to provide the ideal balance of combustion air through Charnwood's patented Quattroflow® air management system. If needed combustion air can be supplied direct through the Arc's built-in external air box, making it a great safe choice for low energy homes. The Arc has two bodywork options – the standard Low version or the 200mm (8") higher Store Stand option, both of which are available in a choice of eight different Charnwood paint colours, including the popular Almond and Gunmetal Grey.
